Dr Vrtik in the Media

Dr Vrtik advocates for clinical safety, establishing quality standard of care, and improving public knowledge about plastic surgery. She also believes in raising awareness of mental health issues in health care workers and encouraging tolerance, humility, and collegiality. 

She has published several articles and invites the media to contact her for comment in areas of her interest. Interview podcasts are also available via her instagram page, where she has been a guest on several programs. 

Dr Vrtik is a trained public speaker who regularly presents at medical and non-medical conferences, appeared in television interviews and live panels. She believes that information empowers our patients and that misinformation needs to be confronted to prevent serious harm to the public. She also believes in sharing her stories, career paths and experiences to show the next generation that we all have the responsibility to pave new pathways for those following our footsteps.

That seed of doubt sprouted again later in my career. I had lost my direction and questioned myself as to whether I enjoyed my work. That was when I came across the concept of 'Ikigai'.
